Rachel Prendergast
Midwife
Rachel has worked in the Nursing and Midwifery sector for over 15 years and had the opportunity to work in antenatal care and education, birthing suite, postnatal ward and domiciliary support. It’s a pleasure for her to collaborate with the Obstetrics and Gynaecology team at Empower.
As a member of the bank team for midwives, at both Northpark Private Hospital and Mercy Hospital for Women, she may cross paths with our patients who are in patients.
When not doing what she loves as a midwife, she love to spend time at home with her husband and two gorgeous children, seeing and helping them grow brings her so much joy. In their spare time, they enjoy gardening, watching movies and going to Lorne for holidays.
Lisa Haber
Medical Secretary
Lisa Haber has been working for more than 11 years in our practice as a Medical Secretary. She started working as a Medical Secretary in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2004, and before that she worked in IT after obtaining a Bachelor of Arts.
She does everything from making appointments, billing, booking surgery, health fund and Medicare reconciliation and maintaining doctors schedules. Lisa loves working in women’s health, for her being part of the journey of our mums is very rewarding.
Lisa has two grown children, is married, a down sizer and empty nester. She enjoys the community of the local football club where she volunteers, as well as catching up with friends and travelling.
Belinda Gretrix
Medical Secretary
Belinda joined the Medical Secretary team in July 2023. She has over 10 years of knowledge and
experience in the medical field, including general practice, urology and now gynaecology and
obstetrics.
She has really enjoyed creating positive relationships with new and returning patients.
When Belinda isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her family and keeping fit.
Frosina Tabacco
Medical Secretary
Frosina is a trained Medical Secretary who has been working in the medical field for over 10 years.
She enjoys meeting new people on the job and continuing to learn new skills. Her daily tasks include
scheduling of appointments, billing, surgery bookings, making people laugh and other various admin
tasks.
Frosina is also a qualified Hairdresser who enjoys this creative outlet on her weekends. She has two
young children which helps her better relate to the patients we see each day.
Jay Samuel
Practice Manager
Jay has been our Practice Manager since 2011. He enjoys supporting our doctors and maintaining our practice’s patient focus. Jay encourages any patient to contact him or any of our administration staff to ask questions about any administrative issue throughout their care with us.
He loves being the taxi for his two active children, and spending time with his wife and his family. Jay is involved in the local cricket club and still playing veteran cricket.
